Arab grievances will not be satisfied by establishment of a legislative council unless Jewish immigration and sale of land to Jews are totally prohibited, Aldifa, Arab daily, declared today.
The paper stated it had learned on high authority that the legislative council will be established as soon as High Commissioner Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope returns from London, despite Jewish opposition to formation of the council. “The form of the government will be changed considerably and the people of Palestine will have self-government in a short time,” Aldifa quoted a high Palestine government official as saying.
