After an all-day session at Nablus, Arab parties which had convened to formulate their reaction to the projected establishment by the Palestine Government of a representative legislative council, adjourned today, deferring their final decision until Thursday.

Meanwhile, the High Commissioner, Sir Arthur Wauchope, was asked by the Arabs to turn over to them the reply by the British Colonial Office to a memorandum containing demands for an Arab national government.

It is understood that Ragheb Bey Nashashibi, former Mayor of Jerusalem, whose adherents are reported to constitute a majority in the parties, is making a determined effort to convince opponents of the council to accept it on the condition that three more Arabs are included in the body’s proposed membership of twenty-eight. of the twenty-eight councillors, the plan outlined by the High Commissioner December 20 provides that fourteen shall be Arabs, seven Jews and seven Britons.
