The Arabic press today evidenced coolness to the British plan for establishment of an Arab-controlled independent Palestine state, as a British constable died and four Jews were injured in continuing disorders. Arab newspapers warned the Arab public not to be over-optimistic. They referred to Britain as “our enemy” and spoke of British policy as “cunning.”
