Reuters News Agency today published a formal denial from Prince Khalid-Iban-Abdoul, youngest son of King Ibn Saud of Saudi Arabia, that he had carried on secret negotiations with Chancellor Adolf Hitler during his visit to the Fuehrer’s Obersalzbeng residence last week.
Replying to Italian press reports that the Prince’s visit to Hitler had been in connection with an ultimatum assertedly served by his father on Great Britain, Khalid-Ibn-Abdoul told Reuters: “We are good friends of Great Britain. I merely returned to Hitler the visit paid to the court of King Ibn Saud by the German Dr. Grubba, last year. I am in Germany for reasons of health and have consulted several physicians.” The Prince added that he had visited London and Paris before going to Germany.
