Inhabitants of Taybeh, the West Bank village where Sirhan Sirhan was born, have sent a telegram to King Hussein of Jordan begging him to intervene to save Sirhan’s life. The convicted slayer of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy faces death in the California gas chamber. The Taybeh villagers appealed to King Hussein because Sirhan “has done his best to serve the Arab cause and turn his trial into a trial of Zionism.”
