A Jewish laborer, Isaac Kasher, was seriously wounded by Arab snipers today as sporadic anti-Jewish disorders, which yesterday flared anew after a lull following termination of the Arab general strike three weeks ago, continued in several parts of Palestine.
Kasher, a cart driver, was one of a group of four Jewish laborers transporting sand to the American Jewish colony of Nathania, named after the late Nathan Straus, when they were fired on from ambush.
Three shots were fired in the Nevi Shaanan quarter on the outskirts of Haifa. Police returned the fire, but no casualties were reported.
Yesterday, Arabs blockaded roads leading to Anebta, near Jerusalem, and between Mishmar Haemek and Jenin, and fired on Jewish lorries as they came to the barricades.
