Abdul Darwish, a leading member of the Arab Executive has just visited Bettir, a mountainous village, near Jerusalem, supposedly to appeal for financial support for the Arab Executive which the villagers refused.

Darwish was the principal organizer of the farewell demonstrations at the train of the Inquiry Commission last Sunday. The train stopped longer than usual to receive Arab deputations. At one of the stops Darwish harangued the Commission. “We helped conquer Palestine. In the name of Mohammed and Christ do not foresake us.”
