Four Arab youths were detained by police last night in connection with the stabbing of a yeshiva student and stoning four other Jews in the Old City last week. Police said the suspects all had knives in their possession when they were arrested. One of them aged 17, is believed to have stoned a father and son on their way to the Western Wall.
Meanwhile, three East Jerusalem Arabs were assaulted and beaten up by four masked men near a watermelon stand in East Jerusalem yesterday. They were treated in an Old City hospital. No arrests have been made.
