The mukhtars from the Arab villages of Kaslot and Doraiah today met with representatives of the Zionist settlements in the Afuleh district preparatory to common action against the plague of field mice which has already destroyed crops in the region. A committee of five, three Jews and two Arabs, was named to demand that the government agricultural department abolish the land and tithe taxes this year, grant loans for maintenance and seed and take more energetic action against the plague.
