The news of the wave of anti-Jewish propaganda activities in Germany and elsewhere throughout the Western world has caused consternation in Cairo, Arabic broadcasts, monitored here, revealed today.
The Egyptian leaders are fearful that the anti-Jewish incidents will cause panic among Western Jewries, and result in a new mass emigration to Israel. Cairo Radio therefore started a campaign today to assure Jews in Western Europe that there is no real danger of anti-Semitism. It charged that Zionist eats were responsible for the swastika doing, in an effort to scare Jews into fleeing to Israel.
