Some 70 Arabs from neighboring countries were permitted to enter Israel as visitors for humanitarian reasons during the past year, the Government reported today. Most of them came from Jordan and Lebanon.
The visitors came for special medical treatment, attendance at funerals and similar reasons. In the previous year, some 50 requests from Arabs for permission to come into Israel were approved.
