Arabs in Clash with Police; Agitators Seized in Jerusalem

ONE ARAB WAS BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN WOUNDED TODAY WHEN A SAND OF ARABS EXCHANGED SHOTS WITH A POLICE PATROL NEAR JERUSALEM. THE RETREATING BAND CONTINUED TO FIRE ON THE POLICE, BUT NO CASUALTIES WERE REPORTED BY THE PATROL.

A BOMB EXPLODED IN FRONT OF A POLICE STATION IN SAFED, CAUSING NO DAMAGE. ANOTHER BOMB, UNEXPLODED, WAS FOUND NEAR THE POLICE STATION IN JENIN.

SEVERAL ARAB AGITATORS HAVE BEEN ARRESTED IN JERUSALEM. ACCORDING TO THE HAVAS NEWS AGENCY THOSE ARRESTED INCLUDE IBRAHIM DARWISH, SECRETARY OF THE ARAB SUPREME COMMITTEE, THREE OTHER MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE AND FIVE OTHER PERSONS. THE NINE ARE BEING HELD IN ACRE PRISON.
