Arab terrorists early this morning shot and killed Dr. Joseph Lehr, 40, a German-Jewish physician and the only remaining Jew in the Arab city of Beisan.
A police communique stated three Arabs knocked at the door of Dr. Lehr’s home at 2:45 a.m. and shot him down when he opened it. Police, hearing the shooting, gave chase but the assassins made good their escape. The doctor’s wife resides in Haifa.
A bomb was thrown by terrorists into an Arab house occupied by a Jew in Haifa. No casualties were reported.
