The Council of the League of Nations, in session here, yesterday approved the report of the last session of the Permanant Mandates Commission, including the report on Palestine.
The Permanent Mandates Commission expressed its agreement with the point of view of the British Government to reject the petition of Palestine born Arabs living abroad who apply for Palestine citizenship.
The Mandates Commission, in its report, stated it agrees with the British view that it is undesirable that thousands of people living abroad should possess Palestinian citizenship and claim the protecton of the British consulates. Palestine citizenship is only for persons living in Palestine, the report held.
The petition referred particularly to the application for Palestine citizenship made by Arabs resident in Honduras, Salvador and Mexico.
