Measures to secure compensation for Palestine Arab refugees from reparations which Germany may pay to Israel will be considered at a meeting of the Arab League to be held in Alexandria, Egypt, on June 26, Azzam Pasha, Secretary-General of the league, announced today.
In a statement broadcast by the Damascus Radio, Azzam Pasha said that “obviously, the Palestine Arab question would have high priority in the debates.” He said that this question would include “study of the situation created by American aid to Israel, the situation of the Arab refugees, the organization of Arab cooperation against Zionist aggression in countries bordering on Palestine, and compensation of Palestinian Arab refugees by reparations of Germany to the Zionists.”
