A group of Arabs occupying two Jewish houses in Israel territory were removed today by the Arab Legion to Palestine territory held by Transjordan, following an ultimatum of the Israel authorities. The transfer was carried out without incident in the presence of United Nations observers.

Israel authorities then complained to the mixed armistice commission and obtained a ruling from that body that the Arabs had moved into the Jewish houses unlawfully. However, the Arab Legion took no action to remove the Arabs from the Jewish territory until today when they were presented with the Israeli ultimatum.
