The Arab Executive, on its last visit to Shuna where King Hussein of Hedjas is conferring with Arab notables at the summer home of his son, the Amir Abdullah, agreed to recognize the Balfour Declaration if in return for such recognition the British Government would establish in Palestine a national government. News to this effect was published yesterday by the Arab newspaper Meratshark. A rumor to the effect that Feisul, ruler of Mespotamia, intends making a concordat with Sultan Ibn Saud, without including his father, King Hussein, has gained considerable force here.
Official confirmation was had today of the resignation of General Tudor, commander of the British troops in Palestine. It was announced at the same time that the post will be abolished after April. The British forces in the meanwhile have been placed under Air Commodore Gerrard.
