Rabbi J. L. Zlotnik, well known Canadian Zionist leader, author and scholar, will sail next Saturday on the Furness liner Northern Prince, bound for Argentina.

The land redemption efforts of the Jewish National Fund are the cause of Rabbi Zlotnik’s impending visit to that country. He does not expect to be back in Vancouver before autumn.

A farewell party will be given at the local community center tomorrow. In 1925 Rabbi Zlotnik made an extensive tour of South Africa, also on behalf of the Jewish National Fund. He has written extensively on Jewish folklore and ethnology.

The cotton produced on 433,000 acres will be required to furnish brake linings, batting, cloth, timing gears, safety glass and battery boxes for the 1,000,000 or more Ford V-8 cars and trucks which the Ford Motor Company plans to build in 1935. A million cars will require more than 69,000,000 pounds of cotton.
