Argentina’s president said he is appalled after vandals destroyed more than 60 tombstones at a Jewish cemetery Sunday near Buenos Aires. “It is an act to be condemned in every sense,” Carlos Menem said a day later. The La Tablada cemetery has been the target of several similar attacks, most recently in December 1997.
