Alexander Jabotinsky was appointed professor in the Dental College of the University of Buenos Aires, by a decree of the Argentine Minister of Education, countersigned by the President of the Republic.

Dr. Jabotinsky, who is the first Jewish scholar to be appointed to a professorship in an Argentine university, was associate professor at the university since 1920. He is a specialist in dental surgery.

Dr. Jabotinsky is one of the active leaders in Jewish life in the Argentine and is president of the Jewish aid society, Ezra.

Some objection was raised to his appointment in view of the fact that he is not a native Argentinian. The appointment was made, however, in recognition of his service to science. Dr. Jabotinsky was born in Russia in 1881. He came to Argentine in 1897. He is the author of several scientific works written in Spanish.
