That negotiations are now being carried on with the governments of Brazil and Argentina with a view to obtaining their permission for the entry of larger numbers of Jewish emigrants from Eastern Europe, was reported today by Mr. Lucien Wolf, Secretary of the Anglo-Jewish Joint Foreign Committee, at the monthly meeting of the Board of Jewish Deputies, held yesterday.
It is believed that an agreement with these governments will be shortly reached enabling those refugees who are now stranded in the various ports of Europe to enter immediately.
