A virulent attack on the state of Israel and the world Zionist movement is published in the current issue of the Argentine Catholic monthly “Presencia.”
Calling the Jewish state a menace to Catholicism in Palestine, the publication charges the Israel troops with deliberately desecrating Christian shrines and massacring Arab civilians. It also likens Zionism to Nazism.
The publication considers that there are only two kinds of persons who can govern Israel–religious Jews or atheists. Both it considers objectionable. If the religious Jews govern, “Presencia” says, then they will seek “vengeance” against Christianity, while if the atheists take over the government they will “open the door to Communism.”
