The first annual conference of representatives of Argentine Jewish congregations, held here, has decided to establish a Synagogue Council of Argentina. Among the other problems discussed at the conference were: the establishment of a roster of persons eligible to perform Jewish marriage ceremonies; religious education for Jewish youth; religious instruction in the public schools; and the provision of religious services for Jews in the armed forces.
