An appeal to facilitate the emigration of Jews from Iraq was sent to Secretary-General U Thant of the United Nations and to International Red Cross headquarters in Geneva today by the DAIA, the central representative body of Argentine Jewry. The message said that Iraqi Jews were being held as hostages and suffered persecution. It urged both world bodied to make efforts to prevent the further executions of Iraqi Jews and others on spy charges.
