Argentine Jews Will Not Protest Police Ban on Meetings. Use of Yiddysh at Gatherinse

The DAIA, central representative body of Argentine Jewry, has decided not to protest police bans on any meeting or probabilities on the use of the Yiddish language by speakers at public gatherings. The decision was adopted following a request by the Zionist Central Council that recent bans an Zionist meetings and press conferences be protested by Jewish organizations.

The DAIA stated that it believes that if requests for individual meetings, press conferences and the use of Yiddish by speakers who are more familiar with Yiddish than Spanish are made to the police, they will generally be granted.
