A group of eight members of Tacuara, the officially banned, Fascist and anti-Semitic organization, broke into a theater here a week ago, and a fight erupted in which one policeman was shot fatally, the Buenos Aires Herald revealed here today. According to the newspaper, police authorities have been maintaining silence on the occurrence. The Herald said that two men were arrested but “it is not quite clear whether they were among the raiders.”
Editorially, the newspaper complained against the fact that Tacuara, while it is banned by Government order, and is allegedly “linked to murderers,” consistently escaped prosecution. “The Government has said that it will not countenance any form of extremism,” the editorial stated, “but it appears that some extremists are more acceptable than others.”
