The DAIA, central Jewish organization, today submitted a memorandum to the Government protesting against charges of ritual murder made against Jews by Benjamin F. Zaccheo, a professor of history at Normal School No. 10 in Buenos Aires. It asked that Prof. Zaccheo be dismissed.
According to the memorandum Zaccheo told his class on April 9 that ritual murders by Jews were an established fact and also lauded the activities of the Spanish Inquisition. Several newspapers, including the liberal “La Prensa,” the Catholic “Pueblo” and the Peronist organ “Democracia,” publish the DAIA memorandum.
