Ariel Sharon said the diplomatic deadlock with the Palestinians could be deadly for Israel. “The world will not allow the deadlock to continue, and this could lead to dangerous initiatives being imposed on Israel,” the Israeli prime minister told a Tel Aviv hi-tech conference Wednesday in an address timed to counter opposition within the ruling Likud Party to Sharon’s plan for disengagement from the Palestinians.
