Ariel Sharon’s new government was sworn in. The national unity coalition made up of the Israeli prime minister’s Likud Party, the opposition Labor Party and the United Torah Judaism faction was sworn in at the Knesset on Monday after being ratified by a vote of 58 to 56, with six abstentions.
