Arkady Voloshin, a Jewish political prisoner serving a two-year sentence in the Potma prison in Soviet Mordovia, has been denied permission to marry, the Student Struggle for Soviet Jewry reported Tuesday. The prison authorities were said to have rejected a request from Ella Gittelman that she and Voloshin be allowed to wed. Voloshin, 25, is scheduled for release Aug. 15, the second anniversary of his arrest.
