A group of armed Poles today attacked a settlement of displaced Jews at Neus Freiman, near Munich, seriously wounding one of the residents. Further attacks are feared.
A delegation of representatives of displaced Jews is scheduled to meet with Lieut. Gen. Frederick E. Morgan, UNRRA chief in Germany, to protest against the forced transfer of Jews from a DP camp at Fuerth to a former German Army barracks at Bamberg. The Jews were moved on Monday by American troops. A complaint by the Central Jewish Committee to U.S. military authorities was ignored.
