Army Chief of Staff Rafael Eitan and three other military officials Wednesday notified the commission investigating the massacre of Palestinian refugees in Beirut that they wanted to bring fresh evidence before it. Defense Minister Ariel Sharon informed the commission that he did not want to appear again and would not cross-examine witnesses unless new testimony was presented which required his response.
