The Israeli army expressed regrets last night over the fatal shooting of two Syrian shepherds who crossed the Israeli disengagement line on the Golan Heights north of Kuneitra yesterday morning. The official account of the incident given to United Nations headquarters, said the shepherds who crossed the line with their flocks failed to heed warning shouts or warning shots fired into the air. The army expressed hope that such incidents would not be repeated.
