German military circles are angered by the decree for the ousting of Jewish physicians, terming the measure “idiotic” in view of the fact that the army and navy are 40 per cent short of their scheduled strength in medical officers, the Daily Express reported from Berlin. Military groups were also represented as alarmed by the disorganization of the nursing profession caused by the withdrawal of permission for roman Catholic nuns to serve as nursing sisters, which has deprived Germany hospitals of 38,000 nurses since February.
