deprive German Jews of citizenship is continuing and that eighty-four more Jews were deprived of citizenship yesterday, according to an announcement in the official gazette.
The usual announcement states the persons named acquired Prussian citizenship between November 9, 1918, and January 30, 1933, although many of them were born right in Berlin or other parts of Germany.
HITLER NEEDS WAR, JEWISH PLAYWRIGHT STATES
Adolf Hitler cannot remain in power very much longer without a European war, Dr. Friedrich Wolf, exiled German Jewish physician, playwright and war veteran, said yesterday on his arrival in the Swedish-American liner Drottningholm.
Dr. Wolf is the author of “Sailors of Cattaro,” which recently was seen here. He is making his first visit to America, and is to speak before the drama schools of Yale and Columbia Universities.
He escaped from Nazi Germany in April, 1933.
“I knew pre-war and post-war Germany,” he said, “and I know Fascism. A war is necessary for Hitler. His idealogical movement for the last ten years has been toward abolition of the Versailles Treaty. With the pressure of munitions manufacturers and other industrialists, who have no other outlet, war will be Hitler’s last trump card.”
The Polish Jew, Isidor Borowski, served as a soldier under Bolivar and in Persia as a general in the 1830’s.
