The Jewish community is aroused by the announcement today that the drainage project of the government would cut through the Sephardic cemetery in the vicinity of the grave of Shimon Ha’Zadid
The indignation is all the keener because the original plans called for the drainage to pass through the Moslem cemetery. Last week, however, following Moslem protests, the High Commissioner changed the route.
The government labor department is carrying out this project in co-operation with the Immigration and Development Departments.
