Definite arrangements have been completed for holding the American Jewish Conference in auditorium of the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel from Sunday, August 29 through Thursday, September 9, it was announced here today. Delegates have been advised to secure accommodations immediately in the Waldorf-Astoria or neighboring hotels.
The executive committee which is organizing the conference revealed that twelve percent of the delegates will be women. They include both those elected in local elections and representatives of national women’s organization. The executive committee also announced that the community of Detroit has been granted an additional delegate, bringing its total representation to 10. The new delegate is Fred M. Butzel.
A cablegram from the Jews of Australia has been received by the Conference, expressing good wishes for the success of its deliberations. The cable was signed by Cecil Luber on behalf of the Australian section of the World Jewish Congress.
