Arrangements to have an estimated 800,000 pounds of matzohs needed by the displaced Jews in the American zone baked in Germany in preparation for the coming Passover holidays are proceeding smoothly with Army cooperation, the Joint Distribution Committee revealed here today.
Under present plans the Army will provide the J.D.C. with the necessary amount of flour which the J.D.C. will exchange with the Germans for wheat. The wheat will then be converted into holiday flour by the Jews. Five pounds of matzohs per person will be distributed to all Jews in Germany.
