A new art center, the Goldman-Schwartz Art Studios, was dedicated today at Brandeis University here. The center, construction of which was made possible by a $660,000 gift from Mr. and Mrs. Charles Goldman of New York, and Mrs. Goldman’s mother, Mrs. Joseph H. Schwarfz, is a memorial to Mrs. Schwartz’ late husband and to the late Robert Harris Goldman, son and grandson of the donors.
The center, which includes classrooms and workshops, has three wings. One houses faculty offices and small studios for visiting artists or artists in residence. The second is devoted to classrooms and the third has four studios, for graphic arts, drawing, painting and sculpture.
