About 600 Protestant clergymen are suffering on account of the Aryan paragraph because they happen to be descended from Jewish ancestors, it was disclosed by the Tannebergbund War Officers’ Association of which President von Hindenburg is patron.

The number of clergymen who are persecuted for being married to Jewish women, or to women who had Jewish forbears, has not yet been established. The proportion of clergymen of the Protestant faith, not counting those who are married to Jewesses, who “have Jewish blood” is three per cent of the entire ministry which is approximately 18,000.

According to a recommendation published in the Juristische Wochenschrift, which is supervised by the Minister of Justice Frank, two kinds of justice should be practised in Germany. The distinction should be made between justice evoked for Aryans and that for non-Aryans.

As a corollary to the thesis, the periodical declares that the Jews as a nation, commit twice as many crimes as Aryans and that therefore punishment of Jews for crimes should be twice as severe as that of non-Jews.

The number of Jewish swindlers is twice that of Aryan swindlers, states the paper. The number of Jewish bankruptcies is said to be twenty times as great as those among non-Jewish business people. These allegations are made on the strength of figures quoted in a recently published book entitled “The Jewish Race and Its Criminals”. Its author is Walter Poetsch.
