Sholom Asch, noted Jewish novelist and dramatist, will speak on the situation of the Jews in Europe, their needs and their attitude toward a World Jewish Congress, at a reception in his honor at the Hotel Astor tonight. Sponsored by the American Jewish Congress a large audience is expected to hear him.
The writer is a strong adherent to the World Jewish Congress idea and was one of the principal speakers last Summer at the World Jewish Conference in Geneva.
Although Mr. Asch was born in Poland, he has lived in the United States and Switzerland, and is at present residing in Paris. He is here on a short visit.
