Ashes of Jews Killed by Nazis Enclosed in Belgian Monument

Representatives of the Ministries of National Defense and Justice today attended ceremonies here at the dedication of a memorial to political prisoners who were killed by the Nazis during World War II at the Breendock concentration camp.

An urn containing the ashes of Jews of the Belgian resistance movement who perished in the Nazi gas chambers at the camp in Auschwitz was enclosed in the monument marking the memorial. The solemn ceremony was arranged by the Central Consistory of the Jews of Belgium.
