Poel Hamizrachi decided last night at the closing session of its fourteenth annual convention, to cable the Jewish Agency for Palestine asking that Mizrachi representatives be recognized as the spokesman for orthodox Jewry and appear as such before the Royal Commission of Inquiry.
Another resolution adopted by nearly 300 delegates from various parts of the United States and Canada demanded that Rabbi J. L. Fishman resign as Mizrachi representative on the Zionist Executive if it is true that members of the Executive favor Arab-Jewish parity.
Isidore Epstein, New York, was elected president of the organization for the seventh time. Other officers are: Rabbi Meier Berlin of Palestine, honorary president; Max Hagler, New York and I. Zambrowsky, Cleveland, vice-presidents; Miss Jennie Kotler, New York, secretary; Mr. Hillson, New York, treasurer.
