The reinstatement of Abraham Goldberg as a member of the Administrative Committee of the Zionist Organization of America was demanded in resolutions adopted by the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Regional Union at a meeting held in Hartford, and at a special meeting of the Waterbury Zionist District.
The resolution of the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Regional Union reads in part:
“Resolved, that in view of the crisis in Palestine and of the utmost need of unity in the Zionist Organization, the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Regional Union urge upon and demand of the Administrative Committee of the Zionist Organization that immediate steps be taken by the Administrative Committee to co-opt Mr. Abraham Goldberg as a member of the Administrative Committee, in order that full confidence may be restored in the leadership and harmony prevail in the Organization.
“Resolved, that we urse upon Mr. Abraham Goldberg to accept, when, and if called upon, to serve on the Administrative Committee.”
At a meeting of the Atlantic City District a committee was appointed to arrange for a banquet in honor of Abraham Goldberg prior to his departure to Europe to attend the Zionist Congress. The committee will ask leading Zionists in other cities to join in this occasion.
