The Jewish Women’s League of Germany issued an appeal to all Jewish parents to abstain from sending their children to the German schools on the days when state political instruction is given in the classrooms.
The German government has made it clear that Jewish children who do not wish to attend the classes in state political instruction may do so. The course of political instruction given to the children consists of numerous anti-Jewish charges which would make it very unpleasant for Jewish children to be present in the classroom when the anti-Semitic allegations are made.
The Reichsvertretung, the supreme representative body of German Jewry, also issued an appeal today saying that Jewish parents should obtain the release of their children from school attendance on Saturdays, since these days are devoted in the German schools to the anti-Semitic curriculum exclusively.
“Our Jewish school youth,” the appeal of the Reichsvertretung says, “have now been given an opportunity of having the Sabbath hours to themselves. Jewish pupils can obtain release from schools on Saturdays upon the application of their parents or guar-
