A referendum among Zionists on what was termed the “Abraham Goldberg issue” was asked in a resolution adopted by the North Philadelphia Zionist District, it was learned today.
The contention was made in the resolution that the defeat of Mr. Goldberg, who was opposed for election to the Administrative Committee by Mrs. Anna Moskowitz Kross, representing the Hadassah, was due to the fact that “the vote was taken at a time when practically half of the delegates had departed.” Mrs. Kross was elected by a majority of 20 votes.
Copies of the resolution demanding the referendum were addressed by the district to members of the Administrative Committee, it was stated.
