Secretary of Labor Davis has been petitioned by the Jewish Big Brothers’ League to allow Solomon Epramovitch to remain in this country. Solomon, a 14-year-old Jewish orphan, was a stowaway on the steamer Savoia which arrived in Baltimore February 7 from Klgiers.
Of bright and neat appearance, Solomon travelled 6,000 miles to America. When a youngster, internal wars in the Bolsheviki swept down on his village in the little republic of Georgia on the Black Sea, created after the World War. Both his father and mother were killed. British soldiers picked up the lad and took him to Constantinople, from where he wandered to Algiers.
DR. CYRUS ADLER MAKES CORRECTION
Dr. Cyrus Adler, Acting President of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, announces that the statement given out that Herzl Friedlaender, son of the late Professor Israel Friedlaender, who coming to America for the purpose of entering the Seminary is incorrect. It was given out without his knowledge. It is understood that the boy is coming to America to enter college.

In the bulletin of February 11th, on page 6, under the heading COME TO AMERICA TO RAISE FUNDS FOR TARBUTH, the name of Dr. Chaim Gruenberg, Russian Zionist was given as “Grimberg from Roumania”
