Official recognition by the Palestine government of the extreme Orthodox Jewish Community was asked yesterday by a delegation of the Agudath Israel which appeared before the High Commissioner.

The delegation demanded that immigration certificates be assigned specially for orthodox Jews and asked that Jews employed in public works be relieved of their duties on Saturday.

The High Commissioner expressed his appreciation of the religious feelings involved and promised to make an effort to find a solution for the problems described by the delegation.
