THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS ASSEMBLY TODAY UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED A COMPROMISE RESOLUTION ASKING THE COUNCIL TO WORK OUT A PLAN FOR FUTURE ASSISTANCE TO REFUGEES.
A SIXTH COMMISSION SUBCOMMITTEE ON REFUGEES HAD SUBMITTED A REPORT RECOMMENDING THAT THE ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZE CALLING OF AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE TO WORK OUT A CONVENTION ON REFUGEES AND THAT THE LEAGUE CONTINUE ITS WORK ON BEHALF OF REFUGEES FOR A FURTHER STATED PERIOD.
