Assimilation among Jews is increasing in Scandinavian countries, it was reported here today at the National Conference of Agudath Israel of Great Britain, which is being attended by Rabbi Eliezer Silver of Cincinnati, Ohio, and by a number of Agudah leaders from several European countries. The attendance at the conference was severely cut by the rail strike. Many of the provincial delegates, including eminent rabbis from the northern part of England were unable to come to London for the parley.
Rabbi Silver, who made the closing address at the Agudah convention, was honored at a reception here by leading British rabbis and rabbis from abroad who attended the parley. He made a lengthy speech on religious matters at the reception.
